Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
The PEOs of Bachelor of Science (Hons) Quantity Surveying are to produce:
- Graduates with competency in practicing the principles of quantity surveying and state-of-art approaches.
- Graduates with effective management capability in communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary team.
- Graduates practicing professional ethics, life-long learning, and principles of sustainable development for the betterment of the profession and society.
Programme Outcomes (POs)
After completing this programme, students will be able to:
PO1 – Demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of fundamental principles of quantity surveying and current contemporary development and issues particularly relating to the construction industry.
PO2 – Demonstrate in-depth technical competence in the discipline and exhibit systematic approaches throughout the project life cycle.
PO3 – Respect the cultural diversity; and demonstrate social responsibility towards the community and society.
PO4 – Commit to the professional ethics and global sustainability practices.
PO5 – Communicate effectively in conveying information, ideas, problems and solutions; and function effectively both as a leader and/or member in any multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
PO6 – Identify problems, examine interpreted underlying issues, identify the available options, collect and analyse data and formulate solutions.
PO7 – Demonstrate ability to make use of state of the art resources and techniques for quantity surveying practices and recognize the importance of lifelong learning.
PO8 – Make decisions based on informed risk assessment in order to identify entrepreneurial opportunities and demonstrate managerial skills.
