UTAR students win Gold medal at National Innovation and Invention Competition through Exhibition 2018 (iCompEx’18)

A team from UTAR Sg. Long campus was awarded a gold medal at the National Innovation and Invention Competition through Exhibition 2018 (iCompEx’18) in the Category G area: Agriculture, Environment and Renewable Energy. Their project title was: Ozonation Effect on Organic Pollutants in Wastewater Treatment by Utilizing Customized Ozone Generator

icompex18 UTAR first prize team

iCompEx is a national level competition which started in 2013 with the aim of providing a platform to showcase innovative products from the various IHL that had potential to be protected by an intelligent patent. In iCompEx 18, a total of 674 projects were submitted by participants. This competition was also listed in the Malaysia Book of Records as it had a significant impact in terms of the number of participants as well as the market potential.
