Responsibilities:

2 vacancies for full time Research Assistants, supported by external research funding, to work under the project “Microwave Remote Sensing of Environment” is available for application.

The project aims to study and develop a theoretical model that will enable the study of remote sensing of environment. The outcome of this model will assist in the interpretation of satellite radar images from the terrain through satellite image processing. This project will involve theoretical modelling, computer programming, image processing and analytical problem solving. Depending on the interest and qualification of the research assistants appointed, he/she will be assigned to work on certain parts of the project.

Applicants with a good Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications/Microwave Engineering, Computer Science or related fields are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant shall be paid a stipend of RM 2,700 per month (EPF included) and has the opportunity to study Master/PhD degree (by research on this topic) at the same time.
